Holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Performing Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The University of Colorado-Boulder, Aba has demonstrated her exceptional talent on stage and screen while dedicating herself to using the arts as a platform for philanthropic and advocacy work.
From embodying JAJA in Jaja’s African Hair Braiding to delivering powerful turns in Proof, For Colored Girls…, and her original one-woman show Landing in Love, her stage performances continue to resonate with audiences across the globe.
When Aba joined the cast of the highly anticipated film Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever, it solidified her position as a rising star in the world of entertainment on film. She recently portrayed 'Abena' in the film adaptation of The Color Purple and is now recurring as 'Samara' in the Vince Vaughn-led Apple TV+ series Bad Monkey.
Alongside her acting prowess, Aba's visionary spirit has led her to establish The Ohemaa Project, a production company dedicated to amplifying diverse narratives and empowering underrepresented voices. She was recently inducted into the Dean's Board of her alma mater, the University of Colorado-Boulder, where she plans to use her voice and experience to impact the student and alumni community.
